THE CHARACTER
Name: Ismet Demir
Age: 15
Hometown: Nicosia, Northern Cyprus
Appearance: Ismet is tanned with short dark colored hair and amber eyes, standing at only 5’3. But he’s growing, he’ll tell to anyone who teases him about his less than stellar height. He normally doesn’t have an expression his face, keeping it blank to avoid dealing with people asking after his emotions.
He normally wears things that look simple and are comfortable, wearing the theatre uniform when at work. He tends to avoid dressing fancily, because it makes him feel like a small child playing dress-up with his father’s clothes.
Personality: Ismet is a quiet person who prefers taking the backseat to being in charge. He’ll take charge if he has too, but he’s not all that good at it. Despite being terribly shy, he likes it when people notice him as an actual person and not just a little kid.
Likes: Warm weather, hard work, sweets, rain.
Dislikes: Cold weather, lazy people, spicy food, rain.
Job: Box Office worker.
Experience: Almost none; he took on the job because it didn’t require much previous experience and it paid well enough.
Extra details: He can only talk to people buying tickets with confidence; any of the actors or his co-workers will leave him feeling shy and uncertain.
Brief History: Ismet was born to a poor family with little money to their name, despite the fact that their farm was quite prosperous. However, he never really noticed this and instead took notice of how little his parents were able to eat. To counteract this, Ismet ate less than he should because he knew that his parents would eat all of his leftovers. He also did what he could to help them out on the farm, taking on jobs that should have gone to people stronger than himself. He started working at the theatre to get some extra money for his family.

Ismet sighed, looking up at the building before him. It was bigger -and nicer- than the buildings he was used to. He almost felt like he wasn’t good enough to be here. But that was nonsense; he had just as much right to be here as everyone else did. He didn’t want to be here, as his parents really did need him -at least, he thought they did- but he knew that he had to be here. And thus he would make the best of it. There was no use crying over the things he couldn’t change after all. He had to keep moving forward, and prove to his parents that they weren’t wasting their time and effort and money on him.
